Independent Engineering Consultancy

Every building
has a story.

Cracks, water ingress, corrosion, concrete deterioration — we treat these as symptoms, not the problem. Our role is to diagnose the engineering root cause before recommending a solution.

Nidānaनिदान
SANSKRIT — DIAGNOSIS: THE IDENTIFICATION OF ROOT CAUSE BEFORE TREATMENT

In the ancient science of Ayurveda, physicians first perform Nidāna — a thorough diagnosis — to understand the true cause of an illness before recommending treatment. No prescription precedes the diagnosis.

At Nidāna Consulting, we apply the same discipline to the built environment. Buildings communicate through symptoms: cracking, staining, movement, façade distress. Read in isolation, a symptom invites a guess. Investigated properly, it points to a cause.

Our role is to investigate, diagnose, and identify the engineering root cause before recommending evidence-based, practical and sustainable solutions. Diagnosis before intervention.

How We Work
01

Investigate

On-site inspection, testing and evidence-gathering across the affected building fabric — nothing is assumed.

02

Diagnose

Findings are traced back to root cause. A crack is a symptom; the diagnosis names what is actually failing, and why.

03

Recommend

Practical, evidence-based engineering solutions — specified, documented, and administered through to completion.

What We Do

Building diagnostics through to construction delivery.

From first inspection to contract close-out, we work across the full lifecycle of an existing building.

Diagnose

Building Diagnostics

Condition assessments, water ingress investigations, concrete durability testing and building health checks.

Rehabilitate

Structural Rehabilitation

Waterproofing engineering, concrete repair, façade and roof engineering, and remediation specifications.

Steward

Asset Stewardship

Capital works planning, lifecycle engineering, technical due diligence and superintendent services.
